Discover Zurich
With the Limmat river that flows right through the city, several stunning churches, enchanting alleyways and a bounty of culinary highlights, Zurich offers a vibrant mix of unforgettable experiences.
Swiss National Museum
There is no better place to learn all about the diverse culture and history of Switzerland than the National Museum. Just a stone’s throw away from Zurich’s main railway station, the spectacular museum building is like something out of a fairytale. An archway leads you to the inner courtyard, where you can experience the modern architecture in all its glory. The design takes its inspiration from the original building conceived by architect Gustav Gull. From its early beginnings to the present day, the National Museum has been bringing Swiss history to life through a variety of permanent and special exhibitions. In the free permanent exhibition “Einfach Zürich”, you can discover the diversity of the city and the canton of Zurich. Afterwards, you can enjoy a bite to eat at Restaurant Spitz, located directly at the entrance to the National Museum. The museum’s idyllic inner courtyard also hosts regular events and concerts.
