during her last 20 years at the Jägerhof
in St.Gallen and has therfore strongly shaped the
culinary variety in the Eastern part of
Switzerland. 2003 she became first «Köchin des Jahres».
and therefore counts among the highest level
Chefs in Switzerland. Since September 2016
she is the new host of Sorell Hotel Rigiblick.
To eat, what mother nature serves – that is a principle of Vreni Giger which she has followed since ever. In the family of the farmer's daughter vegetables, fruits, milk and meat has been served from the own farm. What could not be found in the garden in front of the house, was purchased at neighbouring farmers' and stored for the winter.
Seasonal, regional products from sustainable production are still present in Vreni Giger's kitchen. Economically complemented by ingredients like olive oil, Vreni and her team present a colourful kitchen. Be part of it and get spoiled by this gourmet cuisine. A special event: Dinner at the Chef's Table in the gourmet kitchen. Who likes to sea the sunset and the marvellous view over the lake and the city, will find a nice table on the terrace.
