Measures and safety concept

Information on coronavirus – measures taken by Sorell Hotels

The coronavirus pandemic and its effects are impacting our day-to-day life. The top priority at Sorell Hotels is the health and safety of our guests, customers and staff. Our measures are in line with official guidelines and are implemented across the group.

In accordance with current COVID-19 restrictions, with effect from Monday 20 December 2021, access to our hotels and restaurants will be limited to guests who have been vaccinated against or recovered from Covid-19. Indoors, all persons must wear a face mask. This applies to both guests and staff. Consumption must take place at tables.

From Saturday, 22 January 2022, vaccinated and recovered persons will no longer have to present a negative PCR or antigen rapid test before entering Switzerland.
The entry form only needs to be completed by persons entering Switzerland by air or long-distance bus.

We would like to inform guests from other European countries that only certificates compatible with the "EU Digital COVID Certificate" (EU DCC) can be checked and accepted. For guests from third countries that are not affiliated to the EU DCC, we may accept all foreign vaccination certificates (digital or paper) recognised by Switzerland or the EMA until 24.10.2021. From 24.10.2021, it will be necessary to apply for a Swiss-Covid certificate before entering Switzerland.

On this website you can fill out an application form and upload the relevant documents.
You will receive the recognised Swiss Covid certificate by email as a PDF or you can transfer this to the Swiss Covid certificate app using a transfer code.
Please note that processing the application costs 30 Swiss francs and takes about 5 days.

We recommend that you complete the Travel Check before travelling to Switzerland for an up-to-date overview of the official requirements.

We regret that in these challenging times we may not always be able to offer the usual Sorell service. Thank you for your understanding.
